Camp Kodiak, near Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, has over four dozen activities for campers with and without ADD and ADHD, from archery to water colour painting, and a staff ratio of one to two campers. Asperger syndrome, attention deficit disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is dealt with by staff by teaching coping techniques, as well as with the wide variety of camp activities.
Most summer camps in Ontario have several activities for campers, including swimming and canoeing and arts and crafts. Kodiak has all that and go-kart races, too. Camp activities include horseback riding, team sports, tennis, a high ropes course, rock climbing, waterskiing, sailing, kayaking and sea kayaking, rocketry, computers, fishing, golf and overnight camping.

Kodiak describes itself as an integrated, noncompetitive camp for children and teens with and without ADD, ADHD, LD and Asperger syndrome, featuring a lot of programs, all aimed at building confidence and self-esteem.
Bobby Orr’s Hometown
The town of Parry Sound is a few miles away, on Georgian Bay, approximately 145 miles north of Toronto. Killbear Provincial Park and Oastler Provincial Park are also nearby. Parry Sound is famous for being the hometown of Bobby Orr, considered one of the greatest hockey players of all time. The Parry Sound District is a popular region for cottages and get-aways for southern Ontario residents. The area was a popular subject for the many scenic artworks of Tom Thomson and members of the Group of Seven.
Camp Kodiak is located about a half hour northeast of Parry Sound, closer to the village of McKellar, on a 425-acre campground with a mile and a half of waterfront. Campers stay in modern log cabins with electricity, bathrooms and showers.
